'Degustation: seven courses for solo viola' is performed in the studio recordings featured below by Katherine Corecig. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Lee Buddle at Crank Recording. This recording was made possible through the assistance of the Western Australian Department for Culture and the Arts and the Australia Council for the Arts.

Program note

This collection of miniatures for unaccompanied viola is dedicated to my wonderful friend of over twenty years, Deanne, and was inspired by the degustation she treated her birthday lunch guests to in 2011. Each movement gives a little 'taste' of each course or - in some cases - something of the overall experience (getting into the party mood in the beginning; getting a little tipsy by the fifth movement). I haven't given away what each course comprised by naming the movements, so the player and listener can dream up what they think they may be...
